BAN vs PAK: Preview, Pitch Report and Fantasy Team for Match 41 of T20 WC 2022

This is the last day of the tournament and none of the Semi-finalists is decided yet from Group 2. November 6 features three matches and they are:

  1. South Africa vs Netherlands
  2. Pakistan vs Bangladesh
  3. India vs Zimbabwe

Here in this article, we would cover match 2 (BAN vs PAK) in detail providing a fantasy team at the end.

Pakistan and Bangladesh both need to win this match to qualify for Semifinals and would also pray for the South Africa-Netherlands game to be either washed out or for the Netherlands to win(very less chances). India losing to Zimbabwe can help Pakistan but might not help Bangladesh due to NRR.

Date and Time:- 06 November, Sunday, 9:30 AM IST/4:00 AM GMT/2:30 PM Local

Team Previews

Pakistan

They started their October month with a bang, winning a tri-series in New Zealand by defeating the hosts in the finals. But the real journey started in the first match of the World Cup where they lost the match single-handedly to Indian legend Virat Kohli.

Pakistan can’t think of any worse as they were upset by Zimbabwe in the second group match. They won their next two matches against the Netherlands and South Africa. Will the fortunes turn their way or they would go home from the Group Stage itself?

Bangladesh

Bangladesh was the third team in the above-mentioned tri-series in New Zealand and finished the series without a win.

Won against Netherlands and Zimbabwe, crushed by South Africa and lost against India in a nail-biting encounter. With 2 wins and 2 losses, they are currently positioned 4th on the points table. Bangladesh not only needs to win the match but would also pray for the result of the South Africa-Netherlands encounter going their way.

Pitch Report/Venue Report

The match would be played at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.

  • Total Matches Played-9
  • Matches Won Batting First-6
  • Matches Won Batting Second-3
  • Average First Innings Score-174

Out of these 9, 4 matches are Played in the ongoing World Cup in which only 1 was won by the team chasing and 2 of the games went very close. 163 is the average first innings score of this group in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Probable Playing XI

Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Haris, Shan Masood Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah

Bangladesh: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (C), Afif Hossain, Yasir Ali, Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan(WK), Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam

Players To Watch Out For

Shadab Khan: Batting, bowling or fielding; there is no aspect in which this man can’t win matches for his team. Shadab scored 52* of just 22 balls in a must-win match against South Africa and also clinched two important wickets.

He finished with 3/22 against the Netherlands in the previous match which helped in finishing Netherlands for just 91 runs and Pakistan got a huge boost in Net Run Rate.

In October month, he got 11 Wickets in 10 matches with an economy of just 7. Shadab needs to give one more match-winning performance to help his team win the match and let their hopes be alive.

Iftikhar Ahmed: 51 of just 34 against India and 51 of 35 against South Africa. Iftikhar performed for Pakistan in two of the most important matches and is their best batsman so far in this World Cup.

He has maintained a Strike Rate of over 130 in the last month with 197 runs which is much better than other Pakistan top-order batsmen(111, 114 and 113 of Babar, Rizwan and Masood respectively).

Shakib Al Hasan: In the previous October month, he is the second-highest scorer (198 with 135 Strike Rate) and third-highest wicket-taker (5 wickets) for Bangladesh.

Shakib has scored just 44 runs in World Cup so far. In bowling, he has 5 wickets in 4 matches with an economy near 9. Captain has to lead from the front in the last game to finish the tournament with a win. (They still have chances to qualify for Semifinals).

AFG vs AUS: Preview, Pitch Report and Fantasy Team for Match 38 of T20 WC 2022

We are here in the final and the most exciting stage of Super 12 of ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2022. Every match from here would be a virtual knockout for most of the teams.

New Zealand is the most settled side even after their loss against England. They would look to simply win the match against Ireland and progress to the Semifinals.

But the main concern is about the second match(Afghanistan vs Australia)which we would cover here. Complete match details would be discussed and a fantasy team would be provided at the end.

Team Previews

Australia

Lost to New Zealand in their opening game but won comfortably against Sri Lanka and Ireland with a washout against England in between. Australia played some good cricket in this World Cup except for their first match which made a great impact on their Net Run Rate.

England is currently 50 runs ahead of Australia based on Net Run Rate. If Australia beat Afghanistan by 70 runs, they would wish Sri Lanka to either win the match against England or Sri Lanka to lose the match by a margin of fewer than 20 runs. If Afghanistan won against Australia and Sri Lanka beats England, Sri Lanka would qualify for the Semifinals.

Afghanistan

They Lost to Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India in Super 4 of Asia Cup 2022 and lost 2 out of their 4 matches in this world cup with 2 of them being Abandoned due to rain.

Afghanistan is officially out of the Semifinals race but can spoil Australia’s hope and we can witness one more upset. Afghanistan has not won a T20I game for the last 7 matches (lost 5) and would like to end their win drought here.

Pitch Report/Venue Report

The match would be played at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.

  • Total Matches Played-7
  • Matches Won Batting First-4
  • Matches Won Batting Second-3
  • Average First Innings Score-173

Only 5 T20I matches had been played on this ground before the World Cup. Australia scored 233/2 in the last T20I match(Before T20WC 2022) held here and this shows Adelaide as one of the best batting tracks in Australia.

In 62 domestic T20(s) too, 165 has been the average score on this ground for the team batting first(won 37).

Broadcasting Details

Date and Time:- 04 November, Friday, 1:30 PM IST/8:00 AM GMT/6:30 PM Local

Probable Playing 11

Australia: David Warner, Aaron Finch (c), Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood

Afghanistan: Rahmanullah Gurbaz(WK), Usman Ghani, Ibrahim Zadran, Najibullah Zadran, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi (C), Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fareed Ahmad Fazalhaq Farooqi

Players To Watch Out For

1) David Warner: 5, 11 and 3. These are the scores of David Warner in three matches of T20WC he played so far. Warner and Finch are expected to go big on Afghanistan bowlers to score a mammoth total or chase the score as early as they can.

Warner also scored a century on this ground when Australia scored 233/2. The batting track of Adelaide Oval might benefit him again to end his run drought.

2)Adam Zampa: Zampa has taken 9 wickets in the last 9 matches with an economy of 8.26(best among the top 4 bowlers of Australia). In this batting-friendly pitch, he would look to restrict Afghanistan batsmen from scoring runs quickly and this might result in getting him some wickets too.

Zampa’s record in Adelaide Oval: Matches 2 Wickets 6 Average 6.50 Economy 4.87

Top Performers For Both Teams(Since 01 Aug 2022)

Match Prediction

  1. Australia would win this match.
  2. David Warner would end his drought of runs and score big.
  3. Adam Zampa and Rashid Khan would be the best bowlers from their respective sides.

NZ vs IRE: Preview, Pitch Report and Fantasy Team for Match 37 of T20 WC 2022

Washouts, upsets and NZ punching above their weight have been highlights of almost every ICC event in the recent past. This year too was nothing different. The tournament kicked off with NZ crushing the defending champions with 89 runs. Ireland, now a full member who has a history of causing upset first knocked out WI before the Super 12s and then defeated Eng by 5 runs by DLS.

Due to these events, Group A is wide open unlike B and any 2 teams out of NZ, ENG, and AUS can still qualify for the semis. Australia has to win big against Afghanistan as their NRR is negative. Whereas, ENG and NZ just have to win their remaining matches.

NZ should vary from Ireland, especially their bowling attack which has caused major problems for every big team in the tournament. They have a very good pace attack consisting of Campher, Little, Mcarthy and Adair.

NZ batting lineup has been too dependent on Glenn Phillips in the last 2 games as he has scored a total of 51 % of team runs against SL and ENG. The top 3 are yet to fire which isn’t ideal for a side that has Mitchell Santner at 7

  • Date: November 4, 2022
  • Venue: Adelaide

Probable Playing XI

New Zealand: Devon Conway (wk), Finn Allen, Kane Williamson (c), Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson

Ireland: Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie (c), Lorcan Tucker (wk), Harry Tector, George Dockrell, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, Mark Adair, Simi Singh, Barry McCarthy, Josh Little

Pitch/Venue Report:

The Adelaide is usually a good batting surface with short square and long straight boundaries. Since its early in the season and the pitches are fresh fast bowlers had a lot of help against India in the last game in 1st 6 overs

  • Total matches 10
  • Matches won batting first 4

  • Allen – 103 run @ 187 SR
  • Tucker – 180 runs @ 130 SR
  • Stirling – 133 runs @ 135 SR
  • Little – 5 wickets @ 7.5 eco
  • McArthy – 5 wickets @ 9.2 eco
  • Delany – 4 wickets @ 7.6 eco
  • Santner – 11 wickets @ 6.1 eco
  • Southee – 10 wickets @ 7.7 eco

Key Players & Fantasy Picks

Paul Stirling

According to the Cricviz Analyst, since the start of 2015, he strikes at 148 in the Powerplay. There have been more than 200 players to face 450+ Powerplay deliveries in that time and Stirling’s strike rate is the 17th highest. He has reached fifty 8 times in the Powerplay in T20s, which is the most by a batter after Chris Gayle (10) and David Warner (9).

In a T20I against West Indies, Stirling’s 67 is the highest individual score in the Powerplay in the history of T20 Internationals. Having made his debut in 2008, Stirling has a stellar record in the T20 format with 7781 runs at an SR of 141. He is also a handy off-spin bowler with 77 wickets to his name in the format.

Another area which puts Stirling ahead is his ability to play spin. In all T20s and T20Is, he has scored runs against right-arm leg break at an impressive SR of 156. And against left-arm orthodox, he strikes at 140. Stirling should be your bankable pick in Fantasy XI along with Tucker and Tector

Lorcan Tucker

He was not picked in the squad for WC and this year he is Ireland’s leading getter with 195 runs. He played a blinder in the last game against Australia and with a little support from another end would have even pulled off a miraculous chase

Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner

Spin to win could be NZ’s mantra against Ireland. Sodhi has a very good head-to-head record against almost every Ireland batter. Santner has been bowling economic spells game after game and has picked up 11 wickets in his last 5 games at 6.1 eco. Even against good sides like Australia and England, he didn’t allow the batters to go after him.

Glenn Phillips

His 100 against SL has been the highlight of the WC so far and became the only batter after Miller and Maxwell to score 2 100s in t20is batting at 4 or below. He has single-handedly carried NZ’s batting in the last 2 games and is an excellent athlete on the field

In the bowling department, one can always rely on Boult and Southee and the kind of form they have been in t20s for the past 2 years Ireland’s top order is going to find it tough if there is some assistance for the seamers. Similarly, Josh Little can cause significant damage to NZ’s brittle top order.

SA vs PAK: Team Previews, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 36 of T20 WC 2022

South Africa and Pakistan are set to battle against each other in Match 36 of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The match will occur at the Sydney Cricket Stadium on Thursday, November 3.

Both the teams have faced each other on 21 occasions in T20I cricket and have a very tight head-to-head record as Pakistan won 11 times while the Proteas won 10 times.

In the T20 World Cup, the teams have met on three instances in which Pakistan has asserted pure dominance winning all three of them.

Team Preview

South Africa

The Proteas almost have a dream world cup campaign so far, except for the washout against Zimbabwe. They first beat Bangladesh by a huge margin, and then the tournament favourites India in a close last encounter.

The Proteas are currently the table-toppers of their group and have a very bright chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They have done well in each and every department of the game.

The way how their bowling unit performed against India was just outstanding. They leaked just 133 runs in 20 overs against the strong batting order of India. They will be looking for another win to seal their playoff spot.

Pakistan

Pakistan has lost two very close matches against India and Zimbabwe. Both the matches went till the last ball of the game, but the men in green failed to get over the line. They have disappointed their fans a lot, especially in the game against Zimbabwe, one of the biggest upsets in the T20 World Cup history.

South Africa’s win against India has further hurt their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. India will likely win their remaining matches, and South Africa needs just one more win to qualify.

They won their previous match against the Netherlands and got those first two points.

All their remaining matches are do-or-die, and they will still have to depend on others’ fate for a playoff spot.

Pitch Report

The SCG has hosted 15 T20I matches and 4 of the current edition of the T20 World Cup. All four were won by the team batting first and by huge margins. So it is clear that the team defending the total definitely has an advantage.

It has been observed in the matches played here that the SCG is an excellent batting surface, but run-scoring is not that easy in early and middle overs. The pitch is not like other Australian grounds where the ball gets a good amount of bounce and carry but rather has a turn for the spinners, who are very effective after the powerplay.

Probable Playing XIs

South Africa: Quinton de Kock (WK), Temba Bavuma (C), Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Wayne Parnell, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi

Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam (C), Shan Masood, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah

Players To Watch Out For

Quinton De Kock

Quinton de Kock has hit the form just at the right time after the bad phase he had this year in T20i cricket. He scored 248 runs in the last 5 innings, with an explosive strike rate of 165.33.

He started this tournament in a very destructive mode scoring an uneaten 47 off 18 balls against Zimbabwe. He almost won it for the Proteas, but the match ended in a washout.

Rilee Rossouw

Rilee Rossouw struck the first century of this ICC T20 World Cup 2022 to give his team a dominating 104-run win against Bangladesh.

It was his second consecutive century in T20Is. However, he scored a duck against India in the last match.

Making a comeback to the game after a long gap of six years, Rossouw has been in the form of his life. He scored 340 runs this year with an average of 56.67 and a strike rate of 182.80. His aggressive brand of batting has provided much-needed stability to South Africa’s top order.

Anrich Nortje

The 28-year-old fast bowler has been very impressive in T20 World Cup 2022 taking 6 wickets in 3 games with an economy of 4.53. He is one of the most important cogs of the lethal pace attack of the Proteas.

His 4/10 at Sydney against Bangladesh were the best bowling figures by a Proteas bowler in the history of the T20 World Cup. He also bowled a very economical spell against India, giving just 23 runs off 4 overs and took the wicket of Deepak Hooda.

Mohammed Rizwan

Despite his poor form in the world cup, he is still one of the most successful batters in the game’s shortest format. He has been second highest run scorer this year, scoring 888 runs with an average of 49.33, but his strike rate has been very low.

The keeper-batter hit his highest tournament score in the last game against the Netherlands. It will be his responsibility to provide a good start. He will relish the challenge of going up against the strong Proteas attack.

Haris Rauf

The right-arm fast bowler has taken four wickets from the three games in this tournament so far with an economy of 5.27. Rauf is one of the most consistent T20 bowlers at the moment.

He has taken the most number of wickets among pacers since 2021 and has emerged as a very dangerous bowler in recent times. Rauf will be responsible for breaking the strong Proteas top order by providing early breakthroughs.

Match Prediction

The Proteas are undefeated in this edition and are a very strong and balanced team, while Pakistan is struggling and giving away close victories to their opponents.

So we predict South Africa to win the match, and Quinton De Kock might be the top performer.

IND vs BAN: Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 35 of T20 WC 2022

With India likely to qualify and Rohit talking about how he is willing to change the team if needed I think it’s essential that we make this change in the Bangladesh game to give Yuzi some breathing space before the knockouts.

Pakistan and South Africa’s LHB middle order had put Ashwin above Chahal in the pecking order but this won’t be the case as India looks to get back into winning ways after failing the Proteas challenge while Bangladesh is in a strong position to push for a top 2 spot.

Pitch/Venue Report

India travels to their 3rd venue this campaign as they face off against Bangladesh at the Adelaide oval.

Adelaide has the highest par score as the swing, seam and bounce variables are down this in the ground.

India will also be playing the second match of the day on the same pitch which means that the pitch would be on the slower side.

This edition of the world cup hasn’t seen a game in Adelaide yet but the conditions at hand aren’t threatening any of the sides. With both teams being south Asian, the advantages and disadvantages of the ground will go hand in hand as they have slightly similar home conditions.

IND vs BAN Match Preview:

With Abanxar set to return to the side as an all-rounder, India will have to think about Ashwins position in the team. With the team dynamic at hand and Shami being the middle enforcer with his hard lengths. Team India now needs a wicket-taking spinner in the middle overs to break the deadlock.

They struggled to do the same against South Africa as Makram-Miller assessed and took a liking to the off-spinner.

Despite Ashwin providing the extra batting depth, this is now the best time to bring Yuzi Chahal into the XI. 65.2% of the wickets taken at the Adelaide Oval have been by leg spinners with the off-spinners having a mere 12.1%. This is by far the highest differential in any of the venues.

Yuzi has also shown us his ability to bowl an over or two in the death overs which takes advantage of the large boundaries and the big-hitting finishers who often struggle against leg spin.

Despite being in a strong position, Bangladesh has to face 2 tough opponents in their next 2 games. After the thrashing from South Africa and the captain publicly stating that his team are not here to win the world cup. It is unlikely that Bangladesh will move on to the next round.

Key players/Must Have Fantasy Picks

Shakib Al Hasan

Captain and one of their finest players. Shakib is the ideal player for a T20i.

Coming in at 4 as an LHB he gets to play against bowlers who are worse against left-armed batsmen as a left-arm spinner he is one who can take the ball away from the right-handers while also pitching it in the tight lengths to put the team under pressure.

Bangladesh has been a team that hasn’t inspired a lot of confidence but Shakib’s 3-dimensional skill set makes him a very valuable player.

With the Indian openers set to prove a point while India will look to take a more aggressive approach in the middle overs to get wickets, the stage is set for Shakib to show his skills against a top-quality side.

KL Rahul

Indian openers continue their horrid run and things are not looking good. We have seen Rohit play a shot to ease the pressure and he fell victim while Rahul looks like a ghost of his previous self.

K.L Rahul has not been looking to score. The flamboyant batsmen who would play pick-up shots of all lengths and put fear in the minds of bowlers are no more as the Rahul who is batting now looks ultra-cautious if there is any sort of movement and is playing shots without any confidence.

The management has stated that they won’t be dropping Rahul and I think this is the correct decision. If anybody knows how to come back from this it is KL Rahul. He did this back in 2018 and I am sure he can do it against.

His lack of runs is not because of any skill issue nor is it because of bad luck. It’s just because him playing cautious shots which usually doesn’t put him into trouble. With India playing Bangladesh, I think KL will come out with all guns blazing and look to make a statement.

It’s criminal for a batsman of his stature to look spineless against a bowler and he knows it. With nothing more to lose, we can see him playing with more freedom and this might just open the floodgates for him in this tournament.

Dream11 Team for IND vs BAN

Match Prediction

India is going to win this game by a huge margin as the team has shown a lot of character in this tournament. Arshdeep and Shami are rocking their new roles and Bhuvi’s form is making this trio a very tough one to face. Surya Kumar and Virat are scoring runs and taking India out of tough situations is becoming a habit for them. Despite certain departments failing an effort is being made to improve and this seems like a good time for everything to fall into place.

A couple of close wins and a thrashing from South Africa. Bangladesh has been tactically poor and Shakib’s statement has to be the final nail in the coffin. If a captain himself has put out words like out to the public, similar energy can be expected to be in the team atmosphere as well.

  • Highest Run Scorer- KL Rahul
  • Highest Wicket Taker- Arshdeep Singh
  • Man of the Match- KL Rahul

T20 World Cup 2022: How can your Team Qualify for Semifinals?

The T20 World cup 2022 has given us many surprises. Unexpected upsets & few rain washouts have complicated things for a few teams and made it easier for others. But where does your favourite team stands as of now and how can they qualify for Semifinal? Let’s find out starting with group 2.

Group 2

South Africa

The Proteas are almost through to the Semis of this Wt20. Only an upset by the Netherlands and a few other particular results ( like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh winning their next 2 games ) can prevent them from reaching the Semis. Things could’ve been different had India defeated them in a recent encounter but Proteas held their nerves to make things easier.

Upcoming matches:- v/s Pakistan on 3rd November. v/s Netherlands 6th November.

Pakistan

Pakistan has screwed up big time in this T20 World cup & they’ve no one except themselves to blame. They should’ve won both the games they lost in the last overs. They still had a good chance of qualifying when they lost to India but the loss against Zimbabwe made things go worse. You might be surprised to know but they still have an outside chance of going into the top 2 of group 2.

They must win their remaining games against South Africa and Bangladesh & then hope that India loses to Bangladesh.

Still, things would depend on the net run rate and the results of the India v/s Zimbabwe game. Pakistan right now is not much behind India in NRR they’re at +0.765 compared to India’s +0.844.

Upcoming matches:- v/s South Africa on 3rd November; v/s Bangladesh on 6th November.

Zimbabwe

Things are pretty simple for Zimbabwe, they can qualify straight away by winning their remaining games without being dependent upon other results but it won’t be that easy because they’ll be facing India in their last league match.

Upcoming matches :- v/s Netherlands 2nd Nov; v/s India 6th Nov.

Bangladesh

Similarly, Bangladesh too can qualify just by winning their remaining matches but the tough part is that they’ll be facing India & Pakistan now. Although they don’t have to worry about other teams’ results like Pakistan.

Upcoming matches:- v/s India 2nd November. V/s Pakistan 6th November.

India

The Indian cricket team have won 2 and lost 1 game so far. Their remaining matches are against Zimbabwe & Bangladesh. Both the games can be seen as must-win encounters, especially the match against Zimbabwe. If India loses to Zimbabwe their world cup campaign will end in the group stages itself.

On another hand, if they lost to Bangladesh but won against Zimbabwe then they’ll have to pray that Pakistan wins against Bangladesh but loses to South Africa. With so many outcomes possible India would like to win their next both games and stay on the safer side.

Upcoming matches :- v/s Bangladesh 2nd November, v/s Zimbabwe 6th November.

I didn’t cover the Netherlands as they are officially out of the T20 World Cup 2022.

Group 1

New Zealand

New Zealand’s situation is pretty much similar to South Africa’s situation in the other group. Only an upset by IRELAND and a few other results against them can prevent them from reaching the semifinals. If they win against Ireland they’re through to the semis even if they lose to England. But if they lose both their games they’ll have to pray that Sri Lanka defeats England.

Upcoming matches:- v/s England 1st November; v/s Ireland 4th November.

Sri Lanka

Things are pretty tough for SRI Lanka. In order to reach the semis they’ll have to win the remaining games against Afghanistan and England and then pray that Afghanistan upsets Australia.

Upcoming matches:- v/s Afghanistan 1st November; v/s England 5th November.

Afghanistan

Afghanistan is yet to win a single game In this world cup yet they got an outside chance to reach the semis thanks to the washout match against New Zealand.

They’ll have to win the remaining matches against Lanka and Australia and then hope that England loses at least one of their remaining 2 matches.

Upcoming matches:- v/s Sri Lanka on 1st November; v/s Australia on 4th November.

Australia

Australia has just 1 game left & just winning that game won’t be enough as they’ll have to pray that New Zealand defeats England else Australia’s world cup campaign would end in group stages.

Even if England wins against New Zealand, Australia will still have a chance if they win by a very big margin against Afghanistan but the margin cannot be confirmed until we have the result of the NZ v/s England match. So a win for them in the last game & win for New Zealand against England is what they need.

Upcoming match:- v/s Afghanistan 4th November.

England

England right now has a net run rate of + 0.239. This positive net run rate will prove to be very crucial if they finish with the same number of points as Australia. But the large picture is that England needs to win the remaining matches against New Zealand & Sri Lanka and that will be just enough to take them into Semis unless Australia wins against Afghanistan by a record margin.

Upcoming matches:- v/s New Zealand on 1st November; v/s Sri Lanka on 5th November.

Ireland

Ireland is out Of the WT20 but not officially. They still have an outside chance but that’s very very impossible to happen. Not only their net run rate is worst but their Remaining one game is against strong New Zealand. They’ll have to win that game by some unimaginable margin and hope that England loses to New Zealand.

Even that won’t be enough as they would have to pray that Sri Lanka loses to England & Australia loses to Afghanistan & also that Afghanistan loses to Sri Lanka, With all these things needed it’s fair enough to say that Ireland is out of this t20 world cup.

Upcoming match:- v/s New Zealand on 4th November

My Prediction is that New Zealand, South Africa, India & Australia will make it into the Semifinals.

AUS vs IRE: Match details, Pitch Report and Fantasy Team for Match 31 of T20 WC 2022

4 washouts, 2 upsets and some one-sided encounters. This World Cup edition is one of the most interesting in its history.

Most of the matches from now would be do-or-die for the playing teams. New Zealand, with 2 wins, is the most settled team in Group 1 and almost fixed their place for Semifinals. One of England and Australia (Slight chances for Ireland, too) might be the second semi-finalist from this group.

So today, we will cover the only match of 31 October, i.e. Australia vs Ireland (Group 1), with sharing our Fantasy Team at the end.

Team Previews

Australia

Won 2/0 against West Indies, lost against England by the same margin. The first half of the month was equally balanced for Australia.

Their World Cup campaign so far has also followed the same trend. They lost a one-sided game against New Zealand and chased the target under 17 overs against Sri Lanka (all thanks to the blistering knock of Marcus Stoinis). Their third group match vs England was washed out due to rain.

Ireland

They knocked two-time champions West Indies out of competition in the last Round 1 game and qualified for the main round only for the second time.

Their start in the main round was not ideal as they lost to Sri Lanka in the first game but produced an upset by defeating England by 5 runs (DLS method). Ireland’s game against Afghanistan was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Probable Playing XI

Australia: David Warner, Aaron Finch (c), Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood

Ireland: Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie (c), Lorcan Tucker (wk), Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Gareth Delany, Mark Adair, Fionn Hand, Barry McCarthy, Joshua Little

Players To Watch Out For

David Warner: In the 6 matches he played this month, Warner scored 182 runs at a Strike Rate of 155. He has not looked in touch in the 2 World Cup games, but he can be an essential asset for Australia in the following matches.

Warner has played 3 matches on this ground(Gabba) and scored 142 runs with a 150+ Strike Rate. He scored 75 against the Windies here earlier this month.

Mitchell Starc: Where Cummins and Hazelwood are leaking runs above the economy of 9 in the last 9 matches, Starc has maintained to keep his economy well under 8.

In the last 6 matches, he got 8 Wickets at an economy of 7.8. Starc managed to get a 4/20 against the Windies on the same ground earlier this month.

Paul Stirling: He is the most experienced batsman in the Irish batting line-up and would like to help his side win one more match against a top-ranked team.

Stirling’s recent performances are just above average as he scored only one 50+ score in the last 7 matches(against West Indies in their final match of Round 1)

Joshua Little: A left-arm fast bowler who has been the best for his side in the recent period. In the last 12 months, Little has had 34 wickets in 24 matches and is the 5th-highest wicket-taker in the mentioned period.

PAK vs NED: Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for 29th Match of T20 WC 2022

So we are in some virtual knockout stage in the tournament and one of the matches we will look at will be the Sunday encounter Match 29, Pakistan vs Netherlands.

The team Pakistan is very much in contention to be out of the WC after their very unexpected defeat(upset)against Zimbabwe. On the other hand, the Netherlands will look to spoil the party Pakistan, as Pakistan is hugely dependent on others now.

Date and Time: 30 October, Saturday, 12:30 PM IST/7:00 AM GMT/3:00 PM Local.
Streaming Platforms: Star Sports Network and Disney Plus Hotstar app and website.

Team Previews

Pakistan

Pakistan is a team that was on a mission after defeating India in the Asia Cup 2022, but since then it has been disappointing for them as they have lost the home series vs England as well as had a very horrible start to the World Cup.

Now, Pakistan has to play their best cricket and would also depend on the result of other matches going forward in this competition.

Netherlands

The Dutch have a poor outing in the super 12 as of now despite showing promise in Round 1. They have lost both their matches against the 2 Asian Sides, i.e India and Bangladesh.

Now, the Netherlands will look to upset Pakistan by surprising them with their good bowling and fielding unit.

Pitch Report and Venue Details

The Match will be played at the Optus Perth stadium known for having pace and carry.

Matches played = 5
Won batting 1st = 2
Won fielding 1st= 3
Average total = 153

No Dew Factor will be there on this Ground.

Probable Playing XI

Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam(C), Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Haider Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah

Netherlands: Vikramjit Singh, Max O’Dowd, Bas de Leede, Colin Ackermann, Tom Cooper, Scott Edwards (C & WK), Tim Pringle, Logan van Beek, Shariz Ahmad, Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren

Head-to-head record

Matches played – 1
Pakistan won – 1
Netherlands won – 0

Players To Lookout For/Must Have Dream11 Picks

Shadab Khan

He is Pakistan’s best fielder and vice-captain of the side. Shadab is often promoted in the batting order and has won Pakistan a couple of games with the bat in the last couple of months.

In addition, he can bowl his 4-over economical spells in every game. He is a complete package in T20s and it is a high-risk high reward situation if he is in your team.

Babar Azam

The Elegant Right-hander is searching for form in the World Cup. In his last 2 multinational tournaments, i.e Asia cup 2022 and WT20 2022, he has been mediocre. Babar has scored 73 runs with an sr of 91 in the 8 Innings in the mentioned tournaments.

His game would suit the pace and bounce of the Perth. Babar would look to bat through the innings.

Tim Pringle

The left-arm orthodox is a very fine spinner who invites the batters forward into the stroke and can beat them with the arm balls.

Pringle is handy with the bat also. He looked impressive vs India with some 20 odds and would look to make his name vs the top sides.

Max O’Dowd

Max is the only batter in the Dutch lineup who averages over 30 in the lineup with an SR of 125. Dowd also played one of the best innings of the WC in the first round.

Sweep and swing through the mid-wicket area are his favourite shots. Pakistani pacers can trouble him with the short stuff and he has to look through it.

NZ vs SL: Match details, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 27 of T20 WC 2022

New Zealand crushed Host Australia in the inaugural match of the T20 World Cup while Sri Lanka was on the receiving end of the heroics of Marcus Stoinis. Can Sri Lanka defeat New Zealand and complete this cycle of New Zealand-Australia-Sri Lanka?

Here we would cover a full match preview and would provide fantasy teams at the end for the New Zealand-Sri Lanka encounter.

Date and Time: 29 October, Saturday, 1:30 PM IST/8:00 AM GMT/7:00 PM Local Streaming Platforms: Star Sports Network and Disney+Hotstar app and website

Team Previews

Sri Lanka

Won Asia Cup, qualified for the Super 12 and won their first match in the Super 12 against Ireland. It was going all in the favour of Sri Lanka until Stoinis scored 59 at a blistering Strike Rate of 328 and turned the match for the hosts.

Captain Shanaka and WK Batsman Rajapaksa have scored just 40 and 51 runs respectively in this WC so far.

New Zealand

Finn Allen’s 42 of 16, Devon Conway’s 92* and brilliant bowling from the whole bowling unit; it was a team performance and a dream start for Kiwis in their inaugural match at the same ground SCG. They had a good chance to win against Afghanistan but the match was abandoned without a ball being played.

Captain Kane Williamson is making runs but the rate at which he is scoring might affect the team going ahead in the World Cup. He has 152 runs in the last 5 matches at a mere Strike Rate of 118.

Pitch Report/Venue Report

The match would be played at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney.

Out of the total 14 matches played on this ground, the team batting first has won 7, the team chasing has won 5, 1 resulted in a tie and no result in the other. 169 runs is the average first innings score on this ground.

Previous 5 Matches Record

The team batting first has won the previous 4/5 matches and one of them resulted in a tie. 178 is the average batting first score. New Zealand beat Australia on the same ground.

Probable Playing 11

New Zealand– Finn Allen, Devon Conway(WK), Kane Williamson(C), Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Mark Chapman, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult

Sri Lanka– Kusal Mendis(WK), Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya de Silva Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dasun Shanaka(C), Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Maheesh Theekshana, Binura Fernando, Lahiru Kumara

Players To Watch Out For

Kusal Mendis: In the 5 World Cup matches so far, he has scored 176 runs at a 157+ Strike Rate and has 2 fifties under his belt. Mendis is also the highest run-scorer in the tournament.

He and his partner Pathum Nissanka (who plays a bit slow) need to provide Sri Lanka with a good start and score some good runs in the powerplay.

Wanindu Hasaranga: 15, 19, 19; these are the runs scored by Aussie batsmen in three overs against Hasaranga in the previous match. It was a very poor performance according to his standards but we might see his comeback in this match.

His World Cup performance has been impressive so far and has taken 9 wickets in 5 matches (Joint highest with Bas de Leede). Hasaranga has still not performed accordingly with the bat, so a good knock can be predicted in this match or the next.

Devon Conway: The left-hander is in sublime form. He has scored 325 runs in the last 6 matches at an average above 100. Conway scored 3 50+ scores in these with 92* being his best performance.

He has not scored a single ‘single digit score’ in the previous 6 matches. The Conway-Allen partnership might be the best opening partnership in this World Cup.

Tim Southee: This pitch is not suited for Fast bowlers as much as it is for medium pacers and spinners, but Southee with his experience can be the main man for New Zealand.

His recent performances depict his form. 11 wickets in 6 matches at an economy above 7.5, these are surely good numbers for Bowler bowling in Powerplay and the death. Southee clinched 3 Wickets for just 6 runs against Australia.

Match Prediction

We are backing New Zealand to win the match. Devon Conway and Wanindu Hasaranga might be the best performers from their sides.

AUS vs ENG: Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 25 of T20 WC 2022

Here We Will Discuss Match no 26 of the T20WC 2022, in that defending champion Australia Will Take on England.

Both sides started the WC as the favorites; Australia lost the 1st Match one-sided against Newzealand, while England won a tight game vs Afghanistan. Australia easily got past the Sri Lankan challenge courtesy of Marcus Stoinis.

On the Other Hand, English Team lost to Ireland. One of the major upsets of this WC. Both will look to win their remaining matches, and the 1st task will be to win this contest.

‘Ashes” rivalry will be seen in a different format.

Team Previews

Australia

Australia, The Defending champions, will go hard in the contest as everything is on the line for them. They Cannot Risk another loss because of their defeat against the Kiwis. Australia will also have to look at its Net Run Rate. However firstly a win against strong England is required. Australia has all the bases covered almost; they have to look at their death bowling, especially the Pat Cummins Factor.

England

Everyone backs the team because of their white ball depth and style of play. The 2010 World champions and the runners-up of the 2016 WC will look to dethrone their Arch Rival Australia in the Contest. Seeing the Ball hit the Ball approach of the English has got them a great result, but they have won only 1 title since then; they will have to rise through the Embarrassing defeat against Ireland, which was a big upset, and England will need to recover quickly from that.

Pitch/Venue Report

This contest will be Played in the Historical Melbourne Cricket Ground, where both the teams have good and some forgettable memories. The pitch will have juice, as we saw in the IND/PAK Clash. The ball will rise through the lengths and will get better over time.

Average score – 149 ( 17 matches )

Toss will not be a big factor here, as toss-winning teams have a 50/50 record.

Broadcasting Details

Date and Time: 28 October, Monday, 7:00 PM Local Time /1:30 AM GMT/1:30 PM IST

Probable XI

Australia: Aaron Finch(C), David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade(WK), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa

England: Jos Buttler (c & wk), Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, Mark Wood.

Important Players/Must-Have Fantasy Picks

David Warner

Warner has been indifferent in T20 international cricket since 2019. Average’s over 55 with 145 sr in the last 3 years; Warner’s consistency in this format is surreal. He plays in leagues Worldwide, and there is nothing wrong in saying that he has dominated every place he has played in T20 cricket. Warner will be the key for Australia.

Josh Hazelwood

Josh Hazelwood is the NO 1 T20 International bowler currently in the world by ICC rankings and his performances over the last 2 years. The Orthodox pacer is known for his accuracy and mixup. He will be key in the pacy MCG Track through his lengths.

Ben Stokes

We have a surprise pick here, Stokes, the T20i Cricketer has been mediocre, but the ability he is known for is something we couldn’t resist to make his name forward. Every time stokes play, he looks to score/perform.

Ben stokes may be the most clutch player of this era, especially in the last few years. From 200 in south Africa to ashes to the WC 19. Stokes has gone a long way. I hope he turns up the things in the T20i format as well for the remaining matches.

Mark Wood

Need for speeds perfect ambassador would be the ace pacer of England, Mark wood; so far, he has bowled the fastest delivery of the tournament clicking 155kmph clicks. Wood hurries the batter with the short stuff that would be very effective in the T20 format when you are playing in the MCG.

Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa is the most elite T20 spinner of the international level at the moment among the top 8 teams; Zampa’s skiddy pace will be the biggest plus point here as he doesn’t get that big turn. He will be Lethal against the English Openers if he gets to bowl in the PP
