LSG vs RCB: Match Preview, Key Matchups and Dream11 Team for Match 43 of IPL 2023

RCB are set to begin a new part of their campaign as they are on the road for the next 5 games as LSG returns to their home ground after a dominant performance against PBKS where they ripped apart their bowling lineup to put up the second-highest score in the league’s history.

Teams Preview

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Lucknow ground has been bowler friendly with its slow nature and spin-friendly conditions and this is both a boon and bane for RCB.

While their batsmen are fully using the power play by taking apart the pacers which is ideal on a ground of this sort, that seems to be the only positive from their batting lineup before this game. Kohli and Faf both slow down after the powerplay and this will be a challenge against Bishnoi who has the ability to take key wickets and Krunal who can stop the run flow with ease. To add salt to the wound, Amit Mishra is also likely to start giving the RCB batsmen 12 overs of quality spin to face on a slow pitch.

Maxi will yet again have the most important role in this lineup with their spin vulnerability. Lomror seems to be in good touch and seems like the perfect option at 5 as mentioned in the previous article. He picks up the length of the ball and uses his power to get it out of the ground but this game will put his skill under test as this pitch will make power hitting hard with little bounce and pace on the ball. Shahbaz at 3 once again failed and RCB will want to move away and use Suyash at 3 who is perhaps more likely to play the role Rajat was supposed to play at 3. With the chances of Hazlewood coming back, the onus will be on DK and Shahbaz to give RCB a good finish.

This campaign has been disappointing with the finishing duo unable to give even decent finishes for the team often going under par even on favourable surfaces. DK will want to use his wide range of shots and will want to take more responsibility for getting them a strong finish.

The bowling department had some positives after pulling the game back against KKR after Roy’s early onslaught. Hasaranga’s versatility is being used with him bowling in the powerplay and in the death overs and RCB fans will be hoping this continues when Faf returns as captain. Vyshak seems to have understood how to bowl the middle overs while Harshal continues to improve in form despite the occasional slip-ups which he hopes will stop soon enough.

With Hazlewood back, RCB has a better option in the death but with the bowler returning after a long break only time will tell if he can give better returns to RCB than what Parnell and Willey gave.

With a run of games on slower surfaces, the team looks more settled and has fixed its bowling and batting positions barring the number 3 spot.

Lucknow Super Giants

LSG batsmen will be high on confidence after their performance against PBKS. Despite returning home to a slower wicket, a lot of their runs last game came with brute power and exquisite timing which is something which will get you runs on any surface. Mayers is set to start again and will keep QDK to warm the bench after his fine show while Badoni got a good score after being promoted to number 3.

With their batting order who can pack a punch, the batsmen will look to score high to win their next fixture. LSG will look to rotate and move Deepak Hooda to a more effective position as his role as a finisher doesn’t seem too promising. They would also want Pooran to face more balls and get himself set for the onslaught later. With some right-handers in the middle, RCB might use the bowling options of Shahbaz and Lomror who are the easiest pick of the bowlers. With Mayers scoring well in the powerplay, the middle order will want to attack Hasaranga who has been RCB’s main wicket-taker to offset RCB’s bowling lineup.

The bowling lineup has a good addition in Naveen Ul Haq who has been impressive so far. He was the pick of their bowlers in their last home game against GT where he was economical and picked up a wicket. With the LSG batting having a very high ceiling and RCB’s depth in batting, their bowlers in Krunal and Naveen will look to keep things tight and maintain a good economy. Both of them are likely to bowl in the powerplay to the likes of Virat and Faf who have been taking down powerplay bowling to make up for their eventual slowdown in strike rate. Amit Mishra has shown his experience and will look to take some wickets in the middle overs. His matchup against Maxwell will be interesting he will have his eye out for the leg spinners with Krunal also bowling from one end.

MI vs RR: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream 11 Team for Match 42 of IPL 2023

With 2 losses in two games, MI is now placed at no. 9 in the points table. They have improved their performance from the last IPL, but still need to win at least 5 more games to get the playoffs ticket. With Archer missing the last game and not in form too, Mumbai’s bowling looks comparatively weak.

On the other hand, Rajasthan has won 5 of their 8 matches and is second in the points table, just behind Gujarat Titans. They are back on track with the win against CSK in their previous game, after losing two back-to-back games before that.

Team Preview

Mumbai Indians

The death bowling department of Mumbai Indians is what they need to seriously look upon. In the last two games, they have conceded 94 and 109 runs respectively in the last 6 overs.

Rohit Sharma is performing better from previous seasons but a big knock is still waiting for the birthday boy. Tilak started great but is not in touch for the last two games. Surya and Green are in form with Nehal and Tim as the finishers doing their job well.

Rajasthan Royals

Trent Boult in the powerplay has the potential to dominate any batting unit. With Sandeep Sharma by his side, powerplay bowling looks great for Rajasthan Royals. Yuzi Chahal is doing well in middle overs supported by Ashwin. In the last few games, their death bowling has also gone well.

Jos Buttler hasn’t performed well in the last 3 games which has resulted in RR losing 2 of them. His opening partner Yashasvi is in sublime form and so is Devdutt Padikkal. Dhruv Jurel is playing his first season but his finishing abilities have been very promising till now.

Pitch/Venue Report

The match would be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

  • Total Matches Played-105
  • Matches Won Batting First-49
  • Matches Won Batting Second-56
  • Average First Innings Score-168

Due to the presence of red soil, the pitch at Wankhede is batting-friendly. Also, the short boundaries are advantageous for batsmen. The dew factor also comes into play which helps the team batting second. 185 has been the average batting score at this venue in 3 IPL matches. 2 of these matches are won by the team chasing.

Probable Playing XI

Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (C), Ishan Kishan (WK), Cameron Green, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Nehal Wadhera, Tim David, Hritik Shokeen, Jason Behrendorff, Riley Meredith, Piyush Chawla

Rajasthan Royals: Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (C & WK), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jorel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jason Holder, Trent Boult/Adam Zampa, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal

Players to Watch Out For

Cameron Green

He was the second most expensive player in IPL 2023 auction and has performed well till now this season. Green has 199 runs with a Strike Rate of 150 and has been dismissed just 4 times in 7 matches. He has also taken 5 wickets but went a bit expensive leaking runs with an economy of 10.45.

Piyush Chawla

In a weak bowling lineup of Mumbai Indians, Piyush has been their best bowler so far. In some matches, he broke important partnerships and has been economical in many of them too. Chawla has taken 11 wickets in 7 games with an economy of 7.11

Yashasvi Jaiswal

With scores of 44, 47, and 77 in the last 3 games, Jaiswal has scored a total of 304 runs this IPL. He is now the top run scorer for RR overtaking his opening partner Jos Buttler. Also to mention, Yashasvi has scored these runs with a Strike Rate of 145+.

Yuzvendra Chahal

He didn’t get to bowl his quota of 4 overs in the previous match and went wicketless against LSG. 2 of the last 3 matches didn’t go in favour of Yuzi but he is still the highest wicket-taker for Rajasthan Royals. With 12 wickets in 8 matches (economy 8.23), Chahal is the spinner with the third most wickets in this IPL.

DC vs SRH: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 40 of IPL 2023

The first game between Delhi and Hyderabad turned out to be a low-scoring thriller where Delhi got a well-deserved win. Both teams are struggling at the moment and every match is a do-or-die situation for both sides. Both teams have won 2 out of the 7 games they’ve played but Hyderabad is in the 9th position because of their net run rate and Delhi is at the bottom of the points table.

Both teams have been very poor on the field with both bat and ball. They’ll be willing to turn things around but they’ll have to be at their best as a group for doing that. Both with teams eager to get those two points, it promises to be another thriller of a contest between them.

Team Preview

Delhi Capitals

The Capitals have been below average with the bat with only David Warner performing consistently and a couple of contributions from Manish Pandey. They’ve surprisingly benched both Rovman Powell and Rilee Rossouw and the move has failed badly. Mitchell Marsh showed glimpses of some form in the last game and he needs to get going. The others also need to step up with the bat.

Their bowlers have been in great form in the last couple of games with Axar Patel, Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav and Ishant Sharma bowling really well. Mukesh Kumar was phenomenal in the last match. Delhi will expect their bowlers to continue their good form in the upcoming matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad is one of the most disappointing teams in the tournament. They’ve got an excellent squad with plenty of depth in both batting and bowling. The likes of Mayank Agarwal, Harry Brook, Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen form a very strong batting unit but they’ve all failed to get going until now and it’s about time they start performing consistently.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, Mayank Markande and T Natarajan form the core of the bowling for the Sunrisers. They have been good but there is room for improvement. Natarajan has been very expensive and they’ll also miss Washignton Sundar for the remainder of the competition.

Pitch/Venue Report

The pitch will be a good one but it’s expected to slow down a bit as the game progresses. The pacers will get some movement upfront with the new ball and the spinners will get good help off the deck. The average first innings score here is 172 runs and chasing sides have been more successful here by winning 52% of the games.

Probable Playing XI

Delhi Capitals: David Warner (c), Philip Salt (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Aman Khan, Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Marco Jansen, Abdul Samad/Mayank Dagar, Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan/Kartik Tyagi, Mayank Markande

Players to Watch Out For

David Warner

David Warner looked in good touch in the last game before he got out for 21 runs. Warner has been the best batter from his team and he’ll look to lead from the front in this game. He can score big in this match.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel scored 34 runs and then picked up 2 wickets in the last game against Hyderabad. He will be again a key player for Delhi as he’ll bat in the middle order and will be bowling to a batting unit which is very vulnerable to the ball turning away.

Aiden Markram

Aiden Markram has played only a couple of good knocks until now and he needs to lead from the front. He has looked good in all the games and needs to convert the starts into big scores. He is expected to bowl a few overs of his off-spin as well.

Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen is an excellent player against spin bowling and bats very aggressively. He scored 31 runs in the last game and almost won the match for his team. He will be a very important batter for his team and can be an excellent differential pick in fantasy cricket.

Key Matchups

Prithvi Shaw vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Runs – 35, Balls – 35, Dismissals – 2

Rahul Tripathi vs Anrich Nortje: Runs – 13, Balls – 12, Dismissals – 1

Mayank Agarwal vs Axar Patel: Runs – 36, Balls – 45, Dismissals – 1

Manish Pandey vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Runs – 20, Balls – 19, Dismissals – 4

RR vs CSK: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 37 of IPL 2023

Half of the IPL season is finished and Chennai Super Kings is the table topper followed by defending champions Gujarat Titans. They both have 10 points in 7 matches. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are the other teams in the top 4 with 8 points.

Faf Du Plessis is easily the best batsman so far with several bowlers competing for the same. Siraj has dominated the powerplay bowling, Arshdeep is brilliant in death and Rashid has been performing well too.

So, we are in leg 2 of IPL 2023 and the second match (Match 37) will see Chennai Super Kings taking on Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur. A win for CSK would retain their number one spot but Rajasthan can be the new table toppers if they defeat them.

Team Preview

Rajasthan Royals

This is proving a second continuous season in the favour of Rajasthan Royals. They are on the way to making a playoff appearance again after their runners-up performance last year.

Rajasthan’s top 4 and Hetmeyer are in top form but not making runs collectively have cost them some matches. Trent Boult is bowling great in powerplay but needs to do better in the death overs. With 12 wickets, Chahal is 4th highest wicket-taker and would aim to grab the top spot in the match against CSK.

Chennai Super Kings

A bottom 2 finish in the last season followed by a top spot till the mid-season in this IPL. CSK have made a great comeback this season and their batting performance is the main reason for this.

Both of their openers are performing continuously with Shivam Dubey playing some game-changing knocks too. Rahane’s addition has solidified their batting unit with Moeen, Jadeja and Dhoni as other batsmen. Tushar Deshpande is their lead pace bowler with 12 wickets with Jadeja as their other prominent performer in the bowling department.

Pitch/Venue Report

The match would be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur

  • Total Matches Played-48
  • Matches Won Batting First-16
  • Matches Won Batting Second-32
  • Average First Innings Score-158

It would be the second match of the season being played on this ground. Lucknow defeated Rajasthan in the last match by 10 runs but the overall record favours the team chasing. The pitch offers movement for pacers initially in the match and the amount of bounce on the ground is also high.

Probable Playing XI

Rajasthan Royals: Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (C & WK), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jorel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jason Holder, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal

Chennai Super Kings: Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (C & WK), Tushar Deshpande, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana

Players to Watch Out For

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Two back-to-back 40+ knocks but a big one is still waiting for Yashasvi Jaiswal. Against CSK, Jaiswal has 2 50s in 4 matches and has 125 runs with 150+ SR. He is the second-highest run-scorer for Rajasthan in IPL 2023 with 227 runs (SR near 140).

Yuzvendra Chahal

Leading wicket-taker for RR and 4th overall this season. Chahal has replicated his last season’s form and has clinched 12 wickets this IPL. His role in middle overs is very crucial for RR but citing his good record against CSK’s top order, he can be used earlier in the innings too.

Devon Conway

After Faf, he is the highest run-scorer in this season’s IPL. 314 runs in 7 matches and that too at an SR of 143+. He and Gaikwad need to play Boult well so CSK doesn’t lose early wickets and have their grip on the game. Ruturaj-Conway opening pair has the most runs this season after Faf-Kohli.

Ajinkya Rahane

Rahane has unleashed his best version in this year’s IPL. In 5 matches played so far, he has hammered 209 runs at a staggering Strike Rate of 199 (contrary to his overall IPL SR of 123). Rahane has played a major portion of his career for Rajasthan Royals and a good knock against his former franchise would enhance his already high confidence.

Ravindra Jadeja

Jadeja was performing well in previous IPL seasons with the bat, but his performance with the ball this time is top-class. Except for the match against RCB, he has bowled beautifully in each match. In this season, he has taken 10 wickets with an economy of just 7.33.

Key Matchups

Ajinkya Rahane vs Ravichandran Ashwin: Runs-52, Balls-42, Dismissals-5

Ajinkya Rahane vs Yuzvendra Chahal: Runs-43, Balls-40, Dismissals-3

Ajinkya Rahane vs Trent Boult: Runs-35, Balls-36, Dismissals-3

Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Trent Boult: Runs-22, Balls-24, Dismissals-3

Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Yuzvendra Chahal: Runs-30, Balls-26, Dismissals-2

Sanju Samson vs Ravindra Jadeja: Runs-64, Balls-42, Dismissals-3

RCB vs KKR: Match Preview, Key Matchups and Dream11 Team for Match 36 of IPL 2023

RCB welcome KKR to yet another home game after their tight win against RR after another terrific display from Maxwell and Faf while Harshal sealed the game for the home team. KKR were thrown out of the game with the CSK batsman depositing their bowlers to all parts of the ground. Their batting continues to disappoint with no consistency as their spinners are the only positive of this campaign.

Team Preview

Kolkata Knight Riders

A fragile pace attack has been the main reason why KKR has struggled so much. With their pacers being taken to the cleaners by the batsmen, their new addition in Weise hasn’t helped their case. This pace attack will go up against one of the best pace-hitting teams in the league. KKR look to be disciplined with the pitch and ground helping the batsmen and will look to maintain a low run rate even if they are not able to look for wickets. Their spin trio in Narine, Suyash and Varun will have their job cut out with small boundaries. KKR should look to open with their spinners who are more likely to contain the RCB batsmen with Suyash and Varun being used as their main wicket-taking options in the middle overs. The Bengaluru pitch has been on the slower side in the day games but has been an absolute belter in the evening games. RCB’s head coach talked about how they picked a slightly slower pitch last game and will look to do the same again meaning that the 12 overs of spin that KKR bowl will decide the game as they go up against the batting lineup of RCB where their 2 openers struggle to kick off against spin and the rest of their batting lineup barring Maxi haven’t scored any runs.

Despite being in poor form, Narine can give them valuable overs in the powerplay and death overs. Their batting has been very inconsistent with wickets falling from all ends and no partnerships being built. Their batsmen are swinging their bats from ball 1 and with any help from the surface, their batting order collapses like a house of cards. With Big hitters in Russel, Rinku and Roy. The onus will be on Rana and Iyer to build a stable partnership and to set a platform for their big guns to pop off.

This pitch is more likely to suit the batting of KKR where runs will come easy and big shots are less risky. The bowlers will have to be more disciplined on a small ground which will be their biggest challenge.

Royal Challengers Banglore

With yet another hundred-run partnership, RCB played the conditions and bowlers really well to get their 4th win of the season. Maxi-Faf-Kohli are running riots and helping this team stand up but their other batsmen are a huge concern. Having tried Shahbaz at 3, I think they will back out of this plan with the KKR spin trio bowling with Lomror and Suyash taking up numbers 3 and 5. With Suyash having the ability to play both spinners and pacers and build a solid partnership, Suyash at 3 looks like the best choice with Lomror playing after Maxi at 5. With good numbers in the SMAT against spin, Lomror will want to put his long levels to use and hit some big shots for RCB as time seems to be running out for him. Having tried Anuj in different spots, RCB will not hesitate to replace the underperforming Lomror who is yet to bowl this season and is playing as a specialist batsman. With no clarity over their role just yet, at the very least RCB will want to know what these batsmen could potentially do. Hasaranga could be their X-factor player and could help counter their spinners.

Harshal bowled brilliantly last game picking the key wicket of Samson and bowling a terrific last over executing his slower balls. If RCB dish out another slowish pitch, he will be an important bowler. Siraj continues to wreak havoc with the new ball and has been the leader of the attack. We expect Willey to play another game after a terrific outing and could be a possible backup to DK who has been failing with the bat with Hazlewood who has just recovered from a long injury.

RCB will have to use Shahbaz and Hasranga more efficiently. With the management being scared to deploy these bowlers against LHB batsmen, they will have to make changes to their plan as these 2 are the bowlers who can limit their run rate. With KKR having 3 left-handers in their batting order, how RCB use Shahbaz and Wanindu will decide the fate of the game.

GT vs MI: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 35 of IPL 2023

Defending just 30 runs in the last 30 balls is very challenging but GT bowlers proved their worth by doing the same against Lucknow Super Giants. From leaking 29 runs against KKR in just one over to saving 30 runs in 30 balls, Hardik and company have come a long way.

But the same (a win in the last game) didn’t happen for Mumbai Indians. They couldn’t score 16 runs in the last over due to a great bowling display by Arshdeep Singh. Now they would be looking for a win against GT to equal their points with them.

So Match 35 of Tata IPL 2023 would see Hardik Pandya (GT) playing against his former franchise Mumbai Indians at his home ground in Ahmedabad. Here we would cover this match in detail and a Dream 11 team will be provided at the end.

Team Preview

Gujarat Titans

With a win against the Super Giants, Gujarat Titans are placed at number 4 in the points table with 8 points in 6 matches. Wriddhiman Saha and captain Hardik Pandya played a good knock to help their team post a respectable score.

In defending 136, Mohit Sharma and Noor Ahmad were their top stars. Mohit clinched 2 wickets for 17 runs in 3 overs while Noor spent just 18 in his quota of 4 overs and took 2 wickets. Mohit has now got two MOTMs and with the captain back in form, GT would aim for another victory at their home.

Mumbai Indians

From 105/4 in 14 overs to finish with 214, the Punjab batsman went into all-attacking mode against MI bowlers in the last 6 overs. Arjun conceded 31 and Green conceded 25 in their last overs. Captain Sam Curran and Harpreet played good knocks supported by a blinder by Jitesh Sharma.

Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma is looking in better touch this time as compared to his previous IPL seasons. Suryakumar Yadav is back in form and has played 2 good knocks in the last 3 games. Tim David and Tilak Verma are their other strengths in the middle order.

Veteran spinner Piyush Chawla has proved to be their best bowler this season. Archer is not looking in his best form and if he plays to his full potential supported by one more pacer, there will be no stopping for Mumbai Indians.

Pitch/Venue Report

The match would be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The pitch here is useful for the batsmen and assists fast bowlers too. All three matches here are won by the team chasing and the average first innings score here has been 186 in these games.

Players to Watch Out For

Hardik Pandya

Two back-to-back performances and we can say Hardik Pandya has found his form. Apart from his batting, Hardik would help the team with his captaincy, bowling and even fielding too. He would aim to perform well against his former franchise.

Rashid Khan

The previous two games didn’t go well for Rashid but he is still the biggest challenge MI batsman need to face in their upcoming match. Khan has got 12 wickets in 6 matches and is in the top 5 wicket-takers.

Rohit Sharma

Captain has not performed in IPL since 2017 but is looking in good touch this time. He has scored above 20 runs each time except the first match but is unable to convert. He played a good knock of 40+ in the last match but the team needs his presence till the end to win games.

Piyush Chawla

Piyush is the best bowler for Mumbai Indians this season. He has got 9 wickets this season with an economy of fewer than 7 runs per over. When each bowler leaked a lot of runs, Piyush conceded just 15 runs in 3 overs and clinched 2 wickets.

Key Matchups

David Miller vs Piyush Chawla: Runs-34, Balls-38, Dismissals-2

Hardik Pandya vs Jofra Archer: Runs-35, Balls-29, Dismissals-2

Shubman Gill vs Jofra Archer: Runs-9, Balls-13, Dismissals-2

Rohit Sharma vs Mohammed Shami: Runs-56, Balls-48, Dismissals-2

Rohit Sharma vs Rashid Khan: Runs-23, Balls-21, Dismissals-3

SRH vs DC: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 34 of IPL 2023

The Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their first two games then they won the next two matches and now they’ve lost their last two games. They are in the 9th position with 2 wins in 6 matches. They have been very inconsistent as a team, especially with the bat. They need to be consistent as a group. There have been many question marks over their team selections as well and they’ll need to fix everything and bounce back strongly in this game.

Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, registered their first win of the season after losing 5 matches in a row. They defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets in a low-scoring thriller. They have been very average as a team with both bat and ball. The batters barring David Warner have failed miserably and their bowling has been pretty ineffective as well. Delhi has very slim chances of qualifying for the playoffs and they need to win all of their remaining games to give themselves any chance of doing so.

Team Preview

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad needs the likes of Aiden Markram, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi and their other big guns to be consistent with the bat. Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram played a couple of good knocks but they’ve failed in the last two games. Harry Brook also needs to get going before it’s too late for his side.

The bowlers have been in good form except for T Natarajan who has been very expensive and has failed to up wickets as well. Mayank Markande and Marco Jansen have been brilliant for the Sunrisers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in good form as well. As mentioned earlier, they need their batters to be consistent.

Delhi Capitals

Nothing has gone right for the Delhi Capitals this season. Their batters have been below average except for David Warner and the bowlers have been very inconsistent as well. Manish Pandey has played a couple of good knocks. They don’t have good Indian batters and that’s a big reason for their poor performance with the bat. Mitchell Marsh has also failed with the bat until now.

Anrich Nortje bowled really well in the last game. Kuldeep Yadav has been in good form as well. Others have been very ineffective with the ball but Delhi’s bowling was on point in the last game with the likes of Ishant Sharma and Mukesh Kumar bowling well. They will have to be on their toes as a team for the rest of the tournament.

Pitch/Venue Report

The pitch at Hyderabad is a two-paced one. The pacers will get some movement with the new ball and the spinners will also get some purchase off the pitch. Run scoring will be difficult and the batters need to settle in before playing their shots. The average first innings score here is 163 and the chasing sides have won only 39% of the matches played here.

Probable Playing XI

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Marco Jansen, Washington Sundar, Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan/Kartik Tyagi, Mayank Markande

Delhi Capitals: David Warner (c), Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Philip Salt (wk), Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Aman Khan, Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar

Players to Watch Out For

David Warner

David Warner has 285 runs in 6 games at an average of 47.50. He has four 50+ scores in 6 games. Warner is the 2nd highest run-scorer of the tournament and the best batter for Delhi this season. He will be a key player in this match.

Anrich Nortje

Anrich Nortje bowled really well in the last game. He picked up 2 wickets and troubled Andre Russell with his pace. Nortje will be the strike bowler for Delhi and he can trouble the Hyderabad batters.

Aiden Markram

Aiden Markram has looked good in all the games but has failed to convert his starts into big scores. He will be the best batter for his team. Markram can bowl an over or two of his off-spin as well.

Mayank Markande

Mayank Markande has 8 wickets to his name in 4 matches. He has proved to be a genuine wicket-taker for Hyderabad in the middle overs. Markande picked up 2 wickets in the last game and will look to continue his good form in this game as well.

RCB vs RR: Match Preview, Key Matchups and Dream11 Team for Match 32 of IPL 2023

RCB come back home for a crucial part of their tournament as they are set to face 2 big hitting teams in Chinnaswamy before moving onto slower tracks which seems to suit their team more.

RR come here after a loss where a lot of their selections were questioned as they lost the game from a winning position.

Team Preview

Royal Challengers Banglore

After a comprehensive win with Kohli back as captain, RCB will now walk into the toughest part of their campaign with 3 games in pace friends high scoring grounds against teams who are better built to handle those conditions. Their Indian middle order continues to fail with no clarity on the role of each of these batsmen. Lomror has good numbers against spin in SMAT and with him being left-handed, we might see him deployed in the middle overs to perform a role that Maxwell has been doing. Suyash has the range to play both pace and spin and is most likely going to start at 3 where he replaced Rajath. Shahbaz has had disappointing returns with the bat.

Key Player: Virat Kohli

With Captain Kohli set to lead again, he has to put up a captain’s innings to get RCB the win here. He has been guilty of slowing down after the powerplay and will look to maintain a stable rate of 7-9 RPO in the middle and this task will only get harder as Yuzi and Ash will be bowling here, 2 bowlers who have been around to watch Virat play a lot of cricket. A big inning is all but necessary for them as a collapse in their batting line-up is making it hard to capitalise on their good starts.

With a slowdown expected after the powerplay, I feel one of Faf or Virat will stay back and look to bat through the entire innings while the other person looks to hit the gas after a point.

Kohli will need to use the 8 overs that Hasaranga and Shahbaz bowl properly. With the Chinnaswamy wicket being a little sluggish in the day games, Hasaranga with his variations and a favourable matchup with Samson will be the key battle of this game. In a ground where runs are not scarce, Shahbaz will need to bowl the right line and lengths to keep their batsmen at bay with the ball gripping and turning a little.

Kohli as captain will need to use his spin overs properly if they want to restrict RR to anything under 180.

Rajasthan Royals

With their lower middle order failing again, RR would look to grab some points in Bengaluru as this is ground with suits their team compositions. The front 4 batsmen in Buttler, Jaiswal, Samson and Hetmeyer would look to take apart the fragile RCB bowling attack and look for a score well above 200. Despite RCB’s amazing powerplay returns this season, the RR openers are more likely to come on top with their batsmen latching on to anything which gives them too much width.RCb bowlers have been guilty of this many times this season, with Parnell and Vyshak set to have a tough time with the new ball as Siraj will look to once again lead this bowling lineup.

Samson in the middle overs will be a huge threat with RCB reluctant to bowl Hasaranga when left-handers are on the crease. With DDP and Hetmeyer in the middle order, Hasaranga and Shahbaz might not have a lot of impact with the ball opening up the gates to a pace-heavy middle over with Harshal and Vyshak taking lead. With both teams struggling to contain the death overs, it will be purely for down-to-matchups and the execution of their skills on that given day.

Key Player: Sanju Samson

With RCb criminally underusing Shahbaz and Hasaranga in the middle overs, Samson has the perfect game to win RR the encounter. On a batter-friendly pitch, he will be fed with a lot of pace overs with Parnell, Vyshak and Harshal being guilty of missing their marks which will only ease his job. Samson as captain will have to be at the top of his game while using his spinners.

With Yuzi having a terrific record on this ground and Ashwin having the ability to slow things down with ease, Sanju will look to use these 8 overs to choke down the RCB batting line-up and put them under pressure.

Probable Playing XI

Royal Challengers Banglore: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Suyash Prabhudessai, Dinesh Karthik, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Wayne Parnell, Mohammed Siraj

MI vs PBKS: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream11 Team for Match 31 of IPL 2023

Mumbai Indians, after losing their first two games of this season, have won three games in a row and are in the 6th position with 3 wins in 5 matches. They have been in great form as a team with the batters and bowlers complementing each other. The big names have finally started to perform but there is still room for improvement in certain areas. Mumbai will be eyeing their 4th consecutive win in this match.

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, are in the 7th position with 3 wins in 6 matches. They have lost 2 of their last three games and they will be eager to win this game and get those 2 important points. Their batters have been inconsistent while the bowlers have also lacked discipline. Shikhar Dhawan’s injury is a big blow to them and they’ll have to be at their best as a team in this match.

Team Preview

Mumbai Indians

Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma have been brilliant at the top for Mumbai. They have been very aggressive in the first six overs which sets up the foundation of a big score and allows the middle order to bat freely. Cameron Green was brilliant in the last game with both bat and ball. He scored 64* runs and bowled exceptionally well. Suryakumar Yadav’s poor form is a big concern but he is a quality player and is expected to bounce back strongly. Tilak Varma and Tim David are in top form as well.

Bowling is the weak link for Mumbai this season. Their main bowlers are injured but the others have done a decent job until now. Jason Behrendorff is their leading pacer. Rile Meredith also bowled well in the last game and so did Cameron Green. Piyush Chawla will be their lead spinner and he’s in good form. Overall, Mumbai has a very strong batting unit but they’ll need to be on their toes while bowling.

Punjab Kings

Shikhar Dhawan’s injury has made Punjab’s top order very vulnerable. They are heavily dependent on their middle order to score the majority of the runs. We don’t know when Dhawan will return to the side. Prabhsimran Singh is the only batter who gives a little bit of confidence at the top. They need Matthew Short to be consistent with the bat. Liam Livingstone also needs to get going quickly. Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan are the other key batters for the Kings.

Sam Curran, Arshdeep Singh, Nathan Ellis and Kagiso Rabada are the main pacers for Punjab. One of Ellis or Rabada will play this game. Their spinners have been ineffective and that’s a big concern for them. They have failed to stop the flow of runs and pick up wickets in the middle phase. Rahul Chahar, Harpreet Brar and Liam Livingstone will be the spinners for Punjab. Punjab is looking lighter on the batting front and they’ll need their big guns to fire in this match.

Pitch/Venue Report

Wankhede is one of the best batting venues in the country. There will be some movement with the new ball for the Pacers but apart from that, the game will be dominated by the batters. The boundaries are short and the pitch is flat. Spinners will get little to no help off the deck. There will be dew as well in the second innings. The average first innings score is 171 runs and chasing sides have been more successful at this venue with a 60% win record.

Probable Playing XI

Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Cameron Green, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Nehal Wadhera, Tim David, Hritik Shokeen, Jason Behrendorff, Riley Meredith, Piyush Chawla

Punjab Kings: Prabhsimran Singh, Atharva Taide, Matthew Short, Harpreet Singh, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Nathan Ellis/Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar

Players to Watch Out For

Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan has been very aggressive in the power play for the Mumbai Indians. He has scored 30-35 runs consistently in the last few games including a fifty against Kolkata. He will be a key batter for Mumbai at the top.

Cameron Green

Cameron Green batted at 3 in the last game and he scored a brilliant 64* off just 40 deliveries. He also bowled well and picked up 1 wicket. Green looked in good form with the bat and bowled the important overs for his team.

Sam Curran

Sam Curran will bowl in the middle and death overs and he will bat in the middle order for Punjab. He has a decent record against Mumbai – An average of 26 and his strike rate is 139.3 with the highest score of 52 in 3 games. He has picked up 5 wickets as well in 3 games.

Arshdeep Singh

There will be plenty of help for the pacers with the new ball at Wankhede which makes Arshdeep Singh a very important bowler for Punjab. Both Rohit and Ishan are vulnerable to left-arm pace and if the ball is swinging then Arshdeep can pick up a few wickets upfront in the power play.

Key Matchups

Ishan Kishan vs Arshdeep Singh: Runs – 1, Balls – 3, Dismissals – 1

Suryakumar Yadav vs Sam Curran: Runs – 7, Balls – 6, Dismissals – 1

Rohit Sharma vs Arshdeep Singh: Runs – 5, Balls – 1, Dismissals – 1

Liam Livingstone vs Riley Meredith: Runs – 10, Balls – 9, Dismissals – 1

LSG vs GT: Match Preview, Pitch Report and Dream 11 Team for Match 30 of IPL 2023

The latest additions in IPL will face off for Match 30 of Tata IPL 2023. Both teams played their last match against Rajasthan Royals. Gujarat lost the match but Lucknow won it by 10 runs. LST is currently placed at 2 and GT at 4 in the points table.

Team Preview

Lucknow Super Giants

Against RR, captain KL Rahul played another 30+ knock but took 32 balls to score 39 runs. Kyle Mayers too played a slow knock (51 of 42) but has scored at a much better rate than his captain in this IPL season. Mayers has scored 219 runs with 154 SR and Rahul managed to score 194 runs at an SR of just 114.

Stonis’ all-round performance (21 of 16 and 28-2 in 4 overs) was a key takeaway from the last game. Their spin duo of Amit Mishra and Ravi Bishnoi are their other strengths. If Mark Wood (11 wickets in 4 matches) is available for the next match, he would be a great addition to this already strong side.

Gujarat Titans

Samson and Hetmeyer’s knocks left Gujarat awestruck and were handed a defeat in the last over. Rashid got two wickets but was a bit expensive. Shami conceded just 9 runs in the first 3 overs but went for 16 in the 19th over.

Shubman this season is performing well. He has struck over 200 runs with SR near 140. Hardik Pandya is back in form with the last match and scored 28 runs along with one wicket for just 24 runs in his quota of 4 overs. David Miller and Abhinav Manohar are also performing well in the lower order.

Pitch Report/Venue Report

The match would be played at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. This ground provides chances for each type of player. Pacers here have found some help initially in the innings and spinners in the middle overs.

A total of 3 matches have been played at this ground in IPL 2023. Two of them are won by the team chasing and the average first innings score is 158.

Probable Playing XI

Lucknow Super Giants: KL Rahul (C), Kyle Mayers, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran (WK), Krishnappa Gowtham, Ravi Bishnoi, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Mark Wood/Naveen-ul-Haq, Avesh Khan

Impact Player: Amit Mishra

Gujarat Titans: Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Sai Sudarshan, Hardik Pandya (C), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Mohammad Shami, Mohit Sharma, Joshua Little/Noor Ahmad

Impact Player: Abhinav Manohar

Players to Watch Out For

Hardik Pandya

A good middle-order batsman, a wonderful captain, and a bowler who can bowl in each phase of the match. Hardik is a complete all-rounder and one of the most important players whom GT can rely on. Didn’t perform in starting matches of this IPL, but is back in form since the last match. (28 runs and 1 wicket)

Ravi Bishnoi

In this IPL season so far, he has taken 8 wickets in 6 matches with an economy of less than 7. He has performed even better in the matches played at Lucknow. At Ekana, he has 5 wickets in 3 matches with an economy under 6.2.

Rashid Khan

11 wickets in 5 matches are Rashid’s performance this season so far. He was a bit expensive against the Royals but a bowler of his pedigree is dangerous for any batsman. Khan’s performance against each of the Lucknow batsmen is near perfect and he would target his second MOTM of the season.

Mohammed Shami

Just like Rashid Khan, he is also the go-to bowler for his captain whenever needs wickets. 10 wickets in 5 matches and went wicketless in none. Shami’s record against KLR, Krunal is also great, so he is a great threat to LSG’s top order. (Has a good record against QDK too)

Key Matchups

KL Rahul vs Rashid Khan: Runs-18, Balls-30, Dismissals-3

KL Rahul vs Mohit Sharma: Runs-32, Balls-26, Dismissals-2

KL Rahul vs Mohammed Shami: Runs-13, Balls-17, Dismissals-2

Marcus Stoinis vs Rashid Khan: Runs-44, Balls-36, Dismissals-3

Deepak Hooda vs Rashid Khan: Runs-28, Balls-29, Dismissals-3

Shubman Gill vs Avesh Khan: Runs-39, Balls-37, Dismissals-2

Hardik Pandya vs Avesh Khan: Runs-6, Balls-13, Dismissals-2

Wriddhiman Saha vs Amit Mishra: Runs-26, Balls-24, Dismissals-2

Hardik Pandya vs Amit Mishra: Runs-6, Balls-11, Dismissals-2
