As we are currently in the 2nd round matches of all the teams we will look into the Asian clash consisting of India and Afghanistan. India started their Tournament in Chepauk with a Convincing Win against Title contenders Australia meanwhile on the other hand Afghanistan got a proper hammering from Bangladesh in Dharamshala. India will like to continue their winning momentum and Afghanistan will look to open their account on the points table. If we go just go by pedigree India should win this contest but we know it’s not over until it’s over. Upsets can be done any day as Afghanistan has a wizard named Rashid Khan who will look to make his name in CWC as he has been average in it.
The hosts after defeating the 5-time champs will Look to keep their heads cool and move into the next contest and will have to find a proper balance for this match as it will be played in the Kotla where South Africa broke the world record and made mammoth of 428 runs and even Sri Lanka made 326 in 44 overs only and in total 754 runs were made so India will look to draft in shardul in place of Ashwin. India will look to counter the new ball which troubled them in the last game when they got down to 2-3. Captain Rohit has to lead from the front
A Setback – Shubman Gill is ruled out of the match against Afghanistan because of dengue so his shoes will be very difficult to fill
The team has not won any CWC game in their last 10 attempts and they will look to better this record. The last time they played India in a WC game it was down to the wire with Bumrah and Shami Saving India at the last. Afghanistan will look to get breakthroughs with their spinners but the Pacers have to play more roles than usual because they can’t just rely on their spin department. Gurbaz will be a key.
Probable Playing XI
India: Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
Afghanistan: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Naveen-ul-Haq, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Delhi will be a good pitch to bat on as it is under the control of ICC and since the IPL 2021, it has been quite high-scoring. The traditional Kotla pitch has a low bounce with a slow turn. But the wicket looks completely different now.

Players To Watch Out For
Virat Kohli: “The man for the big occasions”, defines Virat Kohli as a cricketer. He will look to have a great game again that too on his home ground. Kohli will have to be watchful vs Rashid and if he does that we might see King nearing the 50th ODI ton.
Shreyas Iyer: Iyer is a very underrated cricketer among the current Indian lot and the best player of spin currently. He will look to accumulate runs and get back into form as he couldn’t open his account on Sunday
Rashid Khan: The X factor of Afghanistan will look to make his name once again by performing against the foreign team which loves him the most. Rashid Khan in India Particularly in the IPL has been the best bowler in the last 6,7 years and he will look to continue his impressive performance on Indian soil in white-ball cricket. However, he has to work on his ODI record against top teams.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz: The ace Afghani opener will look to continue his form as he made 150 against Pakistan in the SL tour and made 2 50s in the warm-ups with a 50+ score vs Bangladesh in the first match. Gurbaz is also the wk of the team which opens the batting for them and is very pleasing to the eyes.
